How Do Electronic Air Cleaners Work?
There are so many different types of air cleaners, electronic air cleaners amongst them, and they have many different modes of operation. Electronic air cleaners use electric charges to charge the pollutants in the air to collect them in the air cleaner.
Usually the particles are attracted by the use of static eletricity. As air is drawn into the machine the particles are given a small electric charge. Inside the machine there are areas which collect the particles which are attracted there by this electronic charge. Clean air exits the machine minus the particles.
Some electronic air cleaners use a single stage process and some electronic air cleaners use a two stage process to collect the pollutants. Both work very well.
One of the benefits of electronic air cleaners is that they do not use normal filters, which can attract a hefty price at replacement time. But it is necessary to clean the collection plate from time to time, as that is where the pollutants collect. A simple wipe down does it.
But what do they remove?
Electronic air cleaners can remove odors, fumes, smoke, particles and gases from the air. They are effective, low maintenance, efficient and becoming very popular for these reasons.
And where would we go to buy air purifiers? Nowhere else but Allergy Be Gone An excellent resource and well worth a look, or to buy.
